Looking For Clues - Keyboards

In Lee's own words...........

"The three loves which have been intertwined throughout my whole life have been art, music and nature.  I grew up surrounded by amateur music - Mum on the piano and Dad on harmonica with lots of singalongs with family and friends.

I learned the piano as a child and took music as a major subject for the Leaving Certificate, giving me knowledge which has helped throughout the musical parts of my life. I played piano, guitar and piano accordion while working as a primary school teacher.

In the early eighties I began painting Australian wildlife, exhibiting in art shows, galleries and later, several successful solo exhibitions in Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Canberra.

The year I turned 40 seemed a good year to embark on a long time fantasy to learn to play flute. I took lessons for a few years and played with Allegro Flute Choir and Blue Mountains Orchestra

In the mid 90s my husband, Paul, and I moved to Bawley Point on the NSW South Coast to set up Dulkara Framing and Wildlife Gallery, exhibiting my own watercolour Wildlife paintings and pastel local beachscapes. We ran this business for the next 18 years.

While living at Bawley Point, I played flute with Milton District Concert Band, and Paul created High Tide, a ukulele rock band in which I played ukulele, keyboard and synthesiser/vocoder.

In 2018 we moved further south to Tura Beach. I joined the Sapphire Coast Concert Band and Paul’s new group Loose Change, playing keyboard and synth and a little flute and percussion.

The Pambula Beach Garage Band is a new adventure and I look forward to further opportunities to play with this friendly group of talented musicians."
