Potential - Fender Rhodes

In Neil's own words............"I studied piano during high school years and finding the theory hard work started a rock band with three mates playing covers of the popular songs of the day.

We were based on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula and to pay for our gear started hiring halls on Saturday nights and charging teenagers an entry fee to hear us play.

After the word spread around, the local footy clubs began booking us every Saturday night through the season.

As a five piece group called "Fusion" we began writing our own material and dropped the covers, developing a healthy following in the area. We were lucky to back & support some good musos of the day including the progressive rock band Pirana in the mid seventies before we disbanded in 1976.

My wife, son and I moved to Pambula Beach in 2010 where I was amazed to find such a vibrant music scene.

I first wandered into the PBGB Shed in 2014 as a spectator rather than player.

I had issues with my right hand due to Dupuytren's contracture which prevented me from tickling the ivories.

In March 2023, following a successful operation on my right hand I returned to the creative melting pot that is the PBGB Shed."

Neil made his PBGB debut on the song 'Potential', in March 2023. he's a long standing mate and neighbour and we look forward to many more fun afternoons in the PBGB Shed with Neil. Welcome aboard sir!!!
